There are a number of legal requirements to fly drones in the UK during weddings and for drone photography over wedding venues.

Below is a summary of the four key areas to reassure you that I am a competent and a safe pilot for your wedding venue.

You do not need to get into any of this detail. It is detailed to demonstrate that I am a competent drone pilot and have the ability to safely fly over most UK wedding venues to take amazing photographs.

Insurance

As a photographers, we possess all the up-to-date insurance requirements necessary for commercial drone operations to ensure compliance with the UK Civil Aviation Authority requirements and provide peace of mind to my clients.

A valid certificate can be provided upon request, as it serves as proof of my adherence to standards, it is often required by wedding locations to ensure a safe and responsible flying pilot.

Training

I have accumulated nearly 1,000 flight hours during my drone photography. I have been flying drones for over five years, refining my skills and expertise in this exciting and rapidly evolving photography field.

Moreover, I have successfully completed and passed the training requirements set forth by the CAA, which enables me to fly commercial drones with full compliance to regulations and safety standards in the UK.

The CAA

My drone and operator identification is renewed each year and lasts for a period of 12 months, ensuring that I am always compliant with the latest regulations and standards in drone operation at weddings.

There is an easy and efficient way to verify the validity of IDs through the Civil Aviation Authority (C.A.A). This is particularly useful when making a booking or when requested by certain wedding venues, as it helps to quickly validate legitimacy.
